Rantage. Ignore me.

Journal Entry: Mon Apr 7, 2008, 9:12 PM
Why is emo the new cool. Seriously. "HAHA I CUT MY WRISTS AND PRETEND I HAVE PROBLEMS BUT ALL THAT HAPPENED WAS MY MOM SAID I COULDN'T GO TO A DANCE! MY LIFE SUCKS! DUR DUR DUR!"

And the whole photography "art" form. Everybody does it. Everybody thinks they can do it. There's more to it than holding a camera above your head, looking down, and snapping a shot down your shirt. Cool if you like to take photos and express yourself that way, but people think they're the shit when they take a black and white photo of a piano keyboard, it's like GG mate, you just replicated that exact photo that EVERYONE has taken one of in their lifetime.

And why do people focus on themselves in their photography. All the like 16 year old girls take shots of themselves looking "sexy" or "sad" or "pouting" or "charming" or what fuckin' ever. Then they take pictures of them with their shirts off with their breasts *cleverly* hidden under their arm or their hair and think that all the guys out there just popped a stiffy. Like...UGH I hate self-absorbed little whores.

People are ruining art. "Modern Art". IT'S SQUARES. RED YELLOW AND BLUE SQUARES. GET OVER IT. My friend's 3 year old can create it and make millions of dollars. It's the art era of Fridge Pictures.

And the whole dark thing, people name their accounts and AIM names and shit like xXcryingbloodXx or like XbrokenXheartX

GET OVER IT!!!! JESUS! If I hear the phrase "crimson tears" ONE more time I'll kill myself. Vampires are cool. You aren't one. Get with it. You're 14. Your boyfriend left you. I'm sorry, it happens. Get OVER it, you aren't going to die.

And leave the letter X alone. He never did anything to you. Don't abuse him with XxXxXXXrazorwristemoXXXxXxX.

I'm just mad because I'm depressed and thirsty and fat and they're not. -_-

Edit: AND STOP WRITING FUCKING POETRY. IT ALL SUCKS!

And in the naked light I saw
Ten thousand people, maybe more.
People talking without speaking,
People hearing without listening,
People writing songs that voices never share
And no one dare
Disturb the sound of silence.

Yea, I agree.

Oh, of course! Please do! I'll do the same for you, too! ^^

Yea, my mum often listens to those bands with me. I play them and she walks in, sits down, and sometimes even sings along! Kind of awkward, but it's cool.

And that's great about the exchange and her step-father. I'm glad he was open to the fact that you like it, none the less, happy that you do.

I like how you phrase it, it's their memories. I totally see it from their view, too. But they could at least have an open mind about it, I think.
~lady-oliwa:iconlady-oliwa: Mar 13, 2006, 4:00:37 PM
But nice situations also happen. :) Few years ago I was on Polish-German exchange. When I came to Germany I was living at extremly uninteresting girl's house - you know, typical teenager etc. The only person I liked there was her step-father. He was listening to this old rock and said, that he's amazed with me - he was very upset, because his step-daughter was istening to this plastic, most popular pop... And he was for hours talking to me about music, concerts he've seen etc... It was very nice.

By the way - if you really love something, you're not a poser... But you know... I understand these old people, who says, that we shouldn't listen to their music, in some way. It's their life, their memories... And they just can't belive that we can love it as much as them.

That makes me sad. I HATE people like that. Who cares how old you are? If you like the music, you like it! My sister has recently taken to calling me a poser because I like The Doors. I found out about them when I heard them on a video in my Rock History class (I heard Hello, I Love You. A classic...) I liked them, so I got home and started researching them. I found more of their music, and I liked it! Is that really so poser?

Anyways, I really agree with you. It's good music. Most people (older) that I know are thrilled that I'm getting into it. Only twice have I had people say things like that, and sadly, one was even my age.

i remember that some time ago i was in music shop and the seller was laughing at me, when I asked about one of Led Zeppelin's CD - "Led Zeppelin? Girl, you don't even know what Zeppelin is!"

I was very upset - I wasn't happy enough to bo born 40, let's say, years ago - so what? can't i love them? he should be happy, that some young people still love good, old bands...
